Blackheads: How to Remove Black Heads

Blackheads are small bumps that are present on your skin because of clogged hair follicles. These are called blackheads because it appears black or dark. It generally looks on the face but it can also be seen on the other part of the body like chest, back, neck, arm, shoulders, etc.

How blackheads form?
There is a sebaceous gland in the skin which produces oil for our skin. This is known as sebum, it helps to keep our skin soft. And Blackheads form when a plug develops in the opening of the hair follicle. When dead skin cells and sebum collect in the opening of the hair follicle, it makes a bump on the skin which is called blackhead.

1 More production of body oil
2 The buildup of Propionibacterium acnes bacterias on skin
3 Taking drugs can trigger blackheads, etc.

A doctor or skincare professional uses special types of instruments to remove the clog that causes blackheads. This instrument contains a rough surface on the top.

Light and laser therapies use intense light to decrease the amount of oil and it also kills bacteria present in that area. Light and Laser enter in the skin to treat blackheads without damaging the top surface of the skin.

How to prevent blackheads

Wash your face regularly
If you want to get rid of blackheads then you should at least wash your face twice a day. But make sure to use the gentle cleanser that does not harsh on your skin.

Use oil-free products for your face because oil can increase the risk of blackheads.

Use scrubs and masks
Use face masks and scrub to remove the dead cells from your skin.
